Lonely road, Easter Island, Chile. www.muttiah.com
Rano Kau is a crater lake, which is one of three of the Island's natural bodies of fresh water. The lake is located approximately 100 meters (330 ft) above sea level, but is more than 200 meters (660 ft) below the height of the crater's ridges. The volcanic cone is largely surrounded by water, and much of it has been eroded back to form high sea cliffs, Easter Island. www.muttiah.com
